McPHERSON - The Hays High girls’ soccer team bounced back from a first-round loss to Topeka and defeated Salina South 3-2 Tuesday at the 18th annual McPherson Invitational girls soccer tournament.
The Indians are now 2-1 on the young season and will play Newton for fifth place at 3:00 p.m. Friday. The Railers beat Collegiate 10-2 Tuesday.
Maize South and Topeka High both won their semifinal matches and will play for the title Friday night.
