WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a homicide in Kansas City, Kansas.
Just before 7:30 p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 6000 block of Leavenworth Road, according to a media release.
First responders discovered a man in the parking lot of a business. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

This is the seventh homicide of the year in Kansas City, Kansas.
