CHEYENNE COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just after 6p.m. Monday in Cheyenne County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford F350 driven by Diana R. Witcher, 76, Atwood, was northbound on Highway 161 just south of County Road BB.
The passenger side tires of the pickup left the roadway and the vehicle entered the east ditch. The driver maneuvered the pickup back onto the roadway. It crossed both lanes of traffic, entered the west ditch, began turning sideways and rolled onto its top.
EMS transported Witcher and a passenger Donald R. Witcher, 77, Atwood, to the Cheyenne County Hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Both were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
