KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly accidental shooting.
Tuesday evening, police responded to calls of a shooting at a home in 7400 block of East 51st Street, according to KCPD
First responders found a five-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.
EMS transported the boy to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An investigation determined the shooting was accidental and self-inflicted. Police have not released the child's name, how he was able to get to the gun and if possible charges will be filed.
