KHP: Crop duster struck power lines in Kansas

SUMNER COUNTY—A pilot avoided injury after a mishap while crop dusting just after 10:30a.m. Thursday in Sumner County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Air-tractor AT-602 crop duster piloted by James Roberson, 48, Caldwell, Texas, was flying near 400 N Hydraulic in Sumner County.

The plane struck a power line and damaged several lines in the process. The pilot was able to land the plane at a nearby municipal airport. The plane was undamaged and the pilot, sole occupant, was not injured.
