The Hays High Indians held their annual Maroon and Gold scrimmage on Friday night at Lewis Field Stadium. Each of the fall sports including cheerleader and dancers were introduced to the large crowd. Each the soccer team and the football team scrimmaged while the dance team and cheer team performed. The girls golf and tennis team, and cross country teams were introduced during the evening.
The Indian’s football team let each the varsity, jv and freshman take reps on each offense and defense. Playing it close to the vest, Hays High ran their basic offense and defense, focusing on execution and safety of the players. There are still a few starting spots to be determined as the start of the season comes Friday.
Hays High will play Junction City back at Lewis Field Stadium to open the season Friday.
