Eagle Community Television Recognized with Seven Broadcast Awards
(September 14, 2011) Hays–Eagle Community Television, a division of Eagle Communications, Inc., was presented with seven broadcast awards and the Eagle Communication Marketing Department earned an eighth during the annual Mid-American Cable Show in Branson, Missouri, September 7-9.
For the fifth consecutive year, “Street Beat,” the six-year old local news and information show produced by Eagle Community Television in Hays was honored for their work:
Marketing & Promotion: 10,000 subscribers and under Becky Kiser & Casey McAvoy, earned a 2nd place award for “Did You Miss Street Beat?”
Eagle Community TV’s Jordan Schaeffer earned a 2nd place award for “The Mall’s Back to School 2011.”
Community Programming Series: 10,000 subscribers and under Casey McAvoy earned a 1st place award for “Cruisin’ with Casey-The Female Race Car Driver.”
Becky Kiser & Casey McAvoy earned a 2nd place award for “Street Beat Russell Elevator Collapse.”
In Community Programming: 10,000 subscribers and under Casey McAvoy earned a 1st place award for “SWAT Training” and a 2nd place award for “ Wreaths Across America.”
Eagle Community TV’s Jordan Schaeffer earned a 3rd place award for “HHS Gameday.”
In addition, the Eagle Communications Marketing team of Rhonda Meyerhoff, Andrew Stanton, and Merle Fager earned a 3rd place award for “New Brand Launch” in the Marketing and Promotion: 10,000-25,000-subscriber category.
Eagle Communications President and CEO Gary Shorman, Broadband General Manager Rex Skiles, Purchasing/Programming Manager Marlis Fletcher, Manager of RF Strategy Les Libal and Abilene Region System Engineer Ralph Ward attended this year’s event.
Each year the Mid-America Cable Show sponsors the MIDI Awards to honor excellence in Cable Programming, Advertising, and Marketing.
