GRAY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Thursday in Gray County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Ford F550 driven by Sonday, Bruce Sonday, 52, Montezuma, was eastbound on GG Road at County Road 10 three and one half miles south of U.S. 56.
The driver failed to yield right of way to a northbound 2013 Kenworth semi driven by Everett E. Koehn, 69, Ulysses. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
EMS transported Sonday to St. Catherine Hospital in Dodge City where he was pronounced deceased. EMS transported Koehn to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
