⛳ FHSU's Brasser T-19th after day one of NCAA II regional

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Fort Hays State's Morgan Brasser is tied for 19th place after the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship at the Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Okla.

Brasser shot a 6-over-par 78 and is one of six golfers tied for 19th place. The Andale senior had three bogeys on the front nine and four on the back along with a birdie on the par three 17th hole.

Five golfers including Marelda Ayal and Lydia Sitorus from MIAA member Rogers State share the lead at even par. Central Oklahoma's Mika Ramos is tied for third, two shots off the lead. Central Missouri's Mia Rallo is tied for 8th at 3-over. Nebraska-Kearney's Juliana Botero Molina is tied for fourth at 4-over-par.

Southwestern Oklahoma State leads the team standings after shooting a 10-over-par 298. Henderson is one shot back and Rogers State sits in third place after shooting a 305. Central Oklahoma was in seventh place and Central Missouri eighth.

Round two of the three-round event is scheduled for Tuesday.
