The TMP-Marian volleyball is headed to the 4A Division II state tournament after a pair of wins at the Larned regional Saturday. TMP defeated Larned (25-13, 25-7) then knocked off Smoky Valley (26-24, 25-21) in the title match. Kayle Vitztum led TMP with 14 kills, Madyson Koerner recorded 24 assists and Bailey Hageman 22 digs.
Both the Hays High boys and girls’ cross country teams finish third at their own regional Saturday to qualify for the 4A state meet in Wamego. The Hays High and TMP soccer teams closed out their regular season’s by playing to a scoreless draw Thursday afternoon at the FHSU Soccer Complex. The Monarchs finish the regular season 8-7-1 and the Indians 2-11-3. Both find out Saturday who when and where they play in next week regional tournaments.
