As a cold front sinks fast into Texas today, and an upper disturbance moves east, today will be mostly sunny and mild. High temperatures will be mostly around 70 degrees. It will be breezy as north winds of 15 to 30 mph early shift to the northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph by mid-morning. A potent severe weather system will enter central Kansas late Saturday afternoon and evening. Large hail and possibly a few tornadoes will be possible. Saturday will also be very warm and windy, and the fire weather conditions will be critical west of Highway 83.
