Warm, windy Monday

Warm, windy and dry conditions will create a wildfire threat today. A cold front will move through western Kansas tonight. Very strong northwest winds will develop across southwest and central Kansas on Tuesday behind the front which will likely create areas of blowing dust.

Today Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Windy, with a south southwest wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
Tonight Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Breezy, with a south wind 16 to 24 mph becoming west northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph.
Tuesday A 20 percent chance of rain after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Very windy, with a northwest wind 22 to 27 mph increasing to 36 to 41 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.
Tuesday Night Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 26. Windy, with a north northwest wind 23 to 28 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph.
Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 62. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 32.
