The HaysMed Foundation announce in a news release Friday new officers and members of its board of directors. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports HaysMed by raising funds for the acquisition of equipment, implementation of new programs, and the growth in the breadth of services HaysMed provides to residents of western Kansas.
The following board members were voted in as officers: Pat Parke, President; Nancy Talbott, Vice President; Wayne Kieffer, Treasurer; and Jerry Haley, Secretary. Those elected to their first three-year term on the Foundation Board of Directors included Tracy Frickey of Hays, Executive Vice President at SizeWise; Sarah Rankin of Hays, community volunteer; and Julie Rider of Hays, community volunteer. Patrick Scott of Hays, retired educator, was elected as a representative of the HaysMed Volunteers Executive Committee.
Ken Beran and Tom McDonald, M.D. will also serve on the Foundation Board as appointments from the HaysMed Board of Directors.
Retiring from the Board were Earl Carlson, M.D.; Kim Hodny; Ken Johnson; Carolyn Miller; and Van Witthuhn.
“We are extremely pleased to have these dedicated individuals serve as officers and board members of the Foundation,” said Ruth Heffel, Executive Director of the HaysMed Foundation. “They will be tremendous assets in supporting the programs and equipment needs of the Medical Center. “I also want to thank our retiring board members who gave generously of their time and expertise to the Foundation and HaysMed.”
