Unseasonably Warm Today

FileWest winds blowing downslope in the lee of the Rockies will result in unseasonably warm and dry air in western Kansas today.

West to northwest winds will increase this afternoon and near record high temperatures will be in the upper 60s. The record high on this date was 73 in 1986.

A cold front will move into northern Kansas this evening and progress across all of Kansas before sunrise Monday. Tonight will be mostly clear with an overnight low around 25. Monday will be windy with a high near 50.

Very cold arctic air will invade Kansas Wednesday night and Thursday. On Thursday high temperatures are expected be in the 20s.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 67. West southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. West wind around 8 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 50. Windy, with a north wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 15. North northwest wind 6 to 11 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 45. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest 9 to 14 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.
