the law is the law. Either allow concealed permit holders to exercise their right or provide full security in all government locations. A four year exemption is outrageous. Kick the can down the road just like big government, first for 6 month and now four years…. yeah that’s responsible decision making by our wonderful elected officials , who by the way, took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution ….. way to go

    • Relax

No one is taking your guns away. Chill.

The word “allegedly” was used an awful lot in that story. Considering ONE person has received this notice, I call total bs. Also, anything Glenn Beck related should automatically be disregarded. The guy was too nuts for Fox News.

What in heaven’s name are you ranting about?

Maby, but the AP also contributed to the story.

Not worried about that. (yet) I think the point is that those signs don’t keep guns out. If you’re not going to keep bad guys from walking right past that sign with a gun, then simply let me protect myself. It’s that simple.

I feel so much safer due to that “no guns allowed sign”. LOL! Bulletin: Killers and Rapists do not obey the laws anyways so why do our city leaders beleive that stupid sign will stop them?

  • Item #5

Both the HAP & the Bickle Sport’s Complex were built with sales tax initiatives and approved by voters with the promise that they would create revenue for the city. Neither has ever accomplished that & run the red year after year. The Commissioners only fix to this has been to raise the fees at each facility. HRC & Hays Parks department operate & staff each facility. Perhaps a change in management, a cut in staff &/or wages is due? To continually blame the weather, other communities building their own facilities, and cutting the number of operational days in my mind just increases the problem. We need better management…not higher fees for our kids!

    • gomer

The only thing a person can believe about any proposal anymore is the part about higher taxes…..the projected benefits rarely ever live u to expectations or stated goals.
