12,000 and still counting

food drive tally 12,000 and still counting.  That’s the latest tally of canned goods  and other non-perishable items brought to the Community Assistance Center Tuesday night.

The annual Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat canned food drive is organized by the Hays High School DECA Club, with the help of many volunteers from 25 organizations.

The Community Assistance Center serves needy residents of Ellis County. Ellis and Victoria will soon conduct their food drives to bring the total number of donations even higher.  Schoenchen residents have already delivered their contribution.food drive doorway
