NCK Tech Instructor Earns Certification

Brian Dechant, a NCK Tech Pharmacy Technician Instructor is now certified as a Sterile Compound and Aseptic Technique instructor.

Dechant recently completed the Instructor’s Course: Teaching Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique to Pharmacy Technicians. According to a release from NCK Tech, the coursework was one in a series of Continuing Pharmacy Education activities, designed to meet current and emerging trends in pharmacy practice.

This new certification will allow NCK Tech to deliver continuing education credits in Sterile Compounding; Dechant is currently the only Pharmacy Technician Instructor in the state to earn this certification.

The NCK Tech Pharmacy Technician program is one of only two nationally accredited programs in the state of Kansas and is recognized by the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy as a Research/Teaching site.

Pharmacy Technician students may earn either a one year certificate or a two year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
