in Syria. Out of the nearly 3,400 respondents to an e-mail survey, 94% of Kansans opposed U.S. military intervention in Syria.

Congressman Tim Huelskamp released this statement following the release of the survey:

“The numbers speak for themselves. Like me, Kansans want no part of the Syrian civil war. They recognize, despite President Obama’s address, that America has no vital national security interest in Syria. I am, however, praying that there can be a peaceful end to the terrible fighting in Syria.”

Mr. Huelskamp, what do you recommend we do? Burying your head in the sand isn’t going to make it go away. How about you start contributing toward a solution rather than complaining.

As usual in this backward state..if it doesn’t involve wheat, carrying a gun, or stopping abortions ..there is zero interest…

I wonder what the percentage of support would be if the president wasn’t black and a democrat? And yes, I did throw out the race card, because racism (just like homophobia) is a huge factor in many red states.

I agree. I ask many people about their anti-Obama stance and it is only in rare cases that they are even familiar with his policies. Usually they just make a racial slur and start chuckling. Ignorance is bliss.
