UPDATE: Services Restored – Fiber Cut Causes Sunday Service Outage
3:12 p.m. – Sunday, August 25 – All Eagle services in WaKeeney are now back online.
2:30 p.m. – Sunday, August 25 – Eagle Communications reports that their fiber-optic lines have been repaired and all Eagle Internet, Television and Telephone services in western Hays and Ellis are back online. Internet, TV and Telephone service in WaKeeney are expected to be back online within 30 minutes.
10:30 a.m. Sunday, August 25 - Construction crews in the western area of Hays have cut one of Eagle Communication’s fiber-optic lines, causing an outage of Internet, TV and Telephone services to Eagle customers in the Dinges Addition of western Hays, all of Ellis and all of WaKeeney.
Eagle’s fiber repair crew is on the scene and is working to repair the cut. They estimate the outage will last 4-5 hours today.
Eagle is asking customers for patience during this outage. HaysPost will update this story when new information is available.
