Hays High Opens Football Season

The Hays High Indians checked out 68 players to start the 2013 football season.  Coming off back to back playoff appearances the Indians look to replace all but one senior on defense and most of the offense.   Coach Ryan Cornelson will also try to defend the Indian’s WAC title, their third in his first four years.

The Indians went 7-3 last year losing to Junction City, Salina South and state champions Bishop Carroll.

This Indians defeated McPherson, Liberal, Garden City, Wichita South, Dodge City, Great Bend and Salina Central.

The Indians will host the Maroon and Gold scrimmage Friday August 30th and then kick off the season the following Friday at home versus Junction City.
