KFIX Rock News: Paul McCartney Records Vocals, Appears In Video For Italian Electronica Artist

mcbeetPaul McCartney is featured prominently on “Out of Sight,” the new single by Italian electronica artist The Bloody Beetroots, contributing lead vocals to the epic-sounding track.

The Beatles legend is very much in sight in the official video for the song, which premiered recently on MTV.com.

McCartney is seen throughout the clip, mugging and posing on a variety of vintage video screens that are set up in what appears to be The Bloody Beetroots’ recording studio.

The video mainly focuses on The Bloody Beetroots’ masked mastermind, Sir Cornelius Bob Rifo, who is shown playing a variety of instruments and noodling with various pieces of recording equipment.

As the clip progresses, a eerie all-girl choir makes an appearance and the entire studio, which may also be a church, begins to smoke and then bursts into flames.

“Out of Sight” was released as a digital download last month and also will appear on The Bloody Beetroots’ upcoming sophomore album, HIDE, which is due out September 17.

Meanwhile, McCartney just kicked off a new North American leg of his Out There World Tour on Sunday in Ottawa, Canada.  His next show takes place Tuesday at Boston’s Fenway Park.
