KFIX Rock News: Alice Cooper Starts “Quitters Anonymous” For Guitar Players

alicein2RENO, Nev. (AP) – Alice Cooper has launched an online community aimed at getting frustrated guitar players to give it another try.

Cooper and Fretlight Guitar have created Quitters Anonymous to help with video lessons, tricks and encouragement. Users can win Cooper memorabilia, concert tickets and meet-and-greets.

Cooper appears in satirical videos as a therapist who helps “recovering guitar quitters” face their fears.

Cooper says even he struggled to learn to play guitar and he knows it can become “a house of horrors.”

Fretlight Guitars come in acoustic and electric and have lights that show players where to put their fingers.
