Raymond J. “Ray” Wasinger

    Raymond J. “Ray” Wasinger, age 65, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at his home northwest of Victoria, Kansas.

   He was born April 23, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Michael and Georgine (Windholz) Wasinger.

He married Janice M. (Braun) on May 23, 1970, at Victoria, Kansas.

   He was a plumber for 35 years and worked for Speier and Company, Glassman, and retired from Peterson Mechanical of Great Bend.  He grew up in Chase, Kansas and was a 1967 graduate of  Chase High School.  He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas.

   Survivors include, his wife, Janice Wasinger, of the home; two sons, Steven Wasinger and wife, Kerry, Victoria, KS; David Wasinger and wife Stacie, Victoria, KS; one daughter, Melissa Mayers and husband John, Hays, KS; one brother, Tom Wasinger and wife Marlene, Hays, KS; four sisters, Mickey Wasinger, Goddard, KS; Judy Truhlar and husband John, Turon, KS; Jane Sparks and husband, Richard, Derby, KS; Nancy Cantrell and husband, Larry, Overland, Park, KS; four grandchildren, Kyle Wasinger, Emma Wasinger, Sadie Wasinger, Madison Mayers and one on the way.

   He was preceded in death by his parents.

   Services are 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 31, 2013, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas.

Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.

   A vigil service is at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main. Victoria, Kansas  67671.

Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. Friday, all at Cline’s Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.
