Marvin D. “Merf” Goetz

   Victoria, Kansas – Marvin D. “Merf” Goetz age 88, died Sunday, Mary 26, 2013, at Wheatland Nursing Center, Russell, Kansas.

   He was born April 20, 1925, on the farm South of Walker, Kansas.  He married Mildred (Kuhn) Patterson on October 12, 1962, at Victoria, Kansas. She died March 29, 2002.

   He was a pumper in the oil fields and  a farmer for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Walker, Kansas, and Victoria Knights of Columbus.

   He is survived by several nephews and nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son and daughter in law, Robert and Jill (Ramsey) Patterson; one brother, Winfred Goetz; one sister Marcella Bealby; and one infant brother, Donald Goetz.

   Services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas.  Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Walker, Kansas.

    A vigil service is at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday followed by a Knight of Columbus rosary at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday both at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas  67671.

   Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, and from 8:30 to, 9:45 A.M. Wednesday, all at

Cline’s Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.
