Food Stamp Cuts

Food Stamps 002

The House Agriculture Committee has approved a sweeping farm bill that would trim the $80 billion-a-year food stamp program.

The panel approved the bill 46-10 late Wednesday after rebuffing Democratic efforts to keep the food stamp program whole.

The legislation would cut about $2.5 billion a year – or a little more than 3 percent – from the domestic food aid program, which is used by 1 in 7 Americans.

The cuts are part of massive legislation that costs almost $100 billion annually over five years and would set policy for farm subsidies, rural programs and the food aid. The Senate Agriculture Committee approved its version of the bill Tuesday.

What? You mean the overweight heffers I see at Walmart buying snack cakes, potato chips, & pop to shove into their illegitimate kids’ faces won’t be able to use my tax dollars? Boo hoo.

    • Food Stamp Cuts

Oh ya, judge those people you don’t know based on their physical appearance. Do you feel better about yourself? I bet you’ve never been given anything. Ever. You’re just what I want to be when I grow up.

        See you at Walmart.

        • passin threw

hahahahahahahahaha stop chris you’re killin me

    • Chris

This definitely isn’t the intelligent ‘Chris.’ Much too crass..and misspelling the word ‘heifer..’ tsk tsk.

  • Why?

Im all for helping single moms feed their kids, since jobs (and good paying ones) are scarce, and I know not all of them fit the criteria decribed above, but I have to agree with Chris to some extent. We’ve all seen this at WM or Dillons, mom picking up 3-4 bags of chips, pop, & other assorted junk food with a asistance card. The one I saw the other day should have put the money she had in tattoos into the care of her kids.
And then theres the purchase of cigarettes, beer & lottery tickets with what little cash they have. Grrr.

Don’t forget they are well tattooed and have the latest cell phone in their ear!

  • Uncle Thomas

What concerns me with such language is they will “trim the $80 billion-a-year food stamp program” from the food stamp program, but what special interest will they shift it to. Will it really be a savings or assist in lowering the deficit?

  • Why?

    Good point Thomas,

  • Why?

Cell phone? – probably an Obama phone. you know, one they’re supposed to be using to find work.

    • american

Sorry there no such thing as an Obama phone , its actually a Reagan phone , started by Reagan and expanded under gw bush to include cell phones . Look it up, fact-check it, Google or snoops it. And I hate to tell you but little old ladies can get one to help them say in their own home instead of going to a Medicare paid for room at the retirement home

      • Chris

I always enjoy your intelligent posts.

  • Sad

The food stamp program is not the issue, its the lack of controls to limit the exploitation and abuse of the system. I understand some parasites will slip into the system, but for god’s sake at least try to apply some regulations.

  • good

Hey lets just all get tovether and kick these people while they are down on there luck. I bet that will make you all feel like big strong wise men. I am glad you were all born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Good thing you have never had to try to support your family by working three dead end minimum wage jobs. Good thing we got them!

  • hahahahaha

half the people using the stamps aren’t even then ones receiving them. They sell them for .50 on $1 and then go and buy drugs with the cash. Trust me, I have seen it many many many times, and many many many times in Hays USSA
