KFIX Rock News: Doors Drummer Wishes He Had Done More To Save Jim Morrison
Densmore says Morrison lived at a time when they didn’t know alcoholism was a disease, and the band was making such great music no one wanted it to end.
Densmore says he lobbied for a year to put touring on hold because “in a studio you can stop. In front of 10,000 people you can’t.”
He says he’ll always feel guilty he didn’t do more to help Morrison.
Densmore has a new book called “The Doors Unhinged: Jim Morrison’s Legacy Goes on Trial.”
