The first performance is 7:30 p.m. Friday. There are two performances Saturday — 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dale Hirschman will host a cowboy church service Sunday in the arena at 10 a.m., followed by the final performance of the rodeo at 1 p.m.
A total of 600 competitors have signed up for the event.Four FHSU seniors — Ty Rumford, steer wrestling, team roping and all-around; Blair Jones, team roping and steer wrestling; Dakota Milner, team roping; and Sam Tenpenny, goat tying — are in the running for nationals in Casper, Wyo., later this year.
Two new events have been added to this year’s performances, Rumford said.
Rodeo contestants will compete in the costume ribbon roping, and a spectator will have a chance to win in the crawl for cash.
