Frances Schuckman

   Gorham Kansas – Frances Schuckman, age 83, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Via Christi Village Care Center, Hays, Kansas.

   She was born April 23, 1929, in Loretta, Kansas, to John E. and Catherine (Schoenfeld) Basgall.  She married John T. Schuckman on June 14, 1951, in LaCrosse, Kansas.  He died December 26, 2003.

   She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham, Kansas.   She enjoyed baking, her flower gardens, family and her grandchildren.  She lived her married years in Gorham, Kansas and then her later years in  Hays, Kansas.

  Survivors include three sons, Glenn Schuckman, Russell, KS; John T. Schuckman Jr., Salina,    KS; Ron Schuckman, Hays, KS; four daughters, Wanda Jane Becker and husband, John, Hays, KS; Kathy Herman, Hays, KS; Cindy Reed, Russell, KS; Tricia Bieker and husband, Blake, Hays, KS; two sister, JoAnn Schuckman, LaCrosse, KS;  Florence Koerner, Hays, KS; one sister-in-law, Theresa Basgall, LaCrosse, KS; 13 grandchildren, Tony and Tommy Becker, Jessica and Ashley Herman, Clinton Schuckman, Katie Reed, Brady, Jake and Savannah Bieker, Brooke, Amber, Kaylee McGann, John T. Schuckman III; two great grandchildren, Preston Jacobs and Johnny Rielle.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; nine brothers, Henry, Fidelis, Clarence, Everett, Sylvester, John, Jerome, Maurice and Arthur Basgall; two sisters, Mary Urban and Helen Holmeister; one infant son, Steven Schuckman; and one son-in-law, Bill Herman.

    Services are 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 12, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham, Kansas. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gorham, Kansas.

   A vigil service is at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.

   Visitation is from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham, Kansas.

   Memorial to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund.
