BIG Things Happen During the “BIG Event”
SGA Legislative Affairs Coordinator Chris Roberts says, “the ‘Big Event’ offers FHSU students the chance to give back to this community and say thanks for their support throughout the year.”
More than 250 student volunteers participated in several different service projects, including interior paintwork at ACCESS Transportation headquarters, reading to elementary school students, and working in the Victor E. Garden on campus.
In 1982, Texas A&M University started the Big Event as a way to say thank you to the community. Other schools have adopted the same idea, including Fort Hays State, now in its third year.
