Maddie Holub (14-1) backed up her no-hitter at Truman the day before with a complete-game one-hitter Saturday against the Lions. The TMP-Marian senior allowed the one run on one hit, striking out nine and walking none.
Amanda Vaupel and Danie Brinkmann both drove in three. Brinkmann had a two-run single in the Tigers five-run fourth. Vaupel added a two-run double in FHSU’s three-run fifth.

Game 2: #17 Fort Hays State 3, Lindenwood 2
Maddie Holub drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Tigers to the sweep. A Jenna Lang double and two walks loaded the bases for Holub who then recorded the final six outs for her third save of the season.
Holub walked two in the sixth but managed to work out of a bases-loaded jam with two strike outs to end the sixth. Holub induced a grounder to first base to end the game after giving up a two-out double.
Paxton Duran (11-4) picks up the win, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out three and walking three.
The Tigers grabbed an early 2-0 lead, scoring one in the first on a throwing error and one in the second on a Courtney Dobson single.
The Lions scored two in the fifth to tie the game.
