Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two thefts reported on Saturday. The first theft was reported in connection with the report of damage to property in the 300 block of West 9th Street. The alleged theft and criminal damage occurred at 2:13 a.m. The second theft occurred between 2:06 and 3:36 Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of West 19th Street.
Burglary: Officers responded to three burglary reports over the weekend. The first burglary was reported in the 300 block of East 6th Street Friday evening. The alleged burglary of a vehicle occurred between Wednesday evening at 7:00 and Friday evening at 7:26. Officers investigated a suspicious activity report in connection with a burglary in the 100 block of Ash Street Saturday morning between 1:56 and 2:00. The final burglary was reported at a residence in the 300 block of West 7th Street. The alleged burglary occurred between 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday and Sunday afternoon at 5:00.
Drug Offenses: Officers investigated two drug offenses on Friday and one on Saturday. The first was in the 3400 block of Vine Street Friday morning between 1:00 and 1:03. The final drug offenses were in connection with a traffic stop conducted by the Hays PD in the 100 block of East 27th Street Friday at 9:06 p.m.
Gunshots: Police Officers received the report of gunshots and a non-injury shooting Friday afternoon at 5:39. Officers investigated the report in the 1200 block of East 8th Street.
Harassment: The Hays PD investigated the report of suspicious activity, in connection with a harassment report in the 400 block of Agnew Lane Friday afternoon. The alleged incident occurred between March 4th at 8:41 a.m. and March 22nd at 12:40 p.m.
Civil Dispute: A civil dispute was reported in the 500 block of East 20th Street Sunday afternoon between 12:20 and 1:01 p.m.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to two reports of domestic disturbance over the weekend. The first disturbance occurred in the 1000 block of East 8th Street, Friday afternoon between 4:50 and 5:13. The second domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Fort Street at 11:12 Sunday night.
Diving Under the Influence: The Hays Police Department conducted five driving under the influence stops between Saturday and Sunday evenings. One of the DUI stops was reported in connection with drug offenses at 8th and Walnut Street at 11:00 p.m. Saturday.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: Hays Police Officers responded to nine motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. Two of the accidents were reported as hit and runs. The first was reported in the 300 block of West 7th Street at 9:54 Friday morning. The second hit and run accident was reported in the 1700 block of Vine Street Saturday afternoon at 12:59.
