Hays Has New “New” Postmaster
Hays now officially has a new postmaster.
Donnie Shubert, 41, has worked at the Hays post office for four years, and has been the Officer in Charge twice since longtime postmaster Tom Lippert retired last July 31.
Shubert’s appointment is effective March 9. He previously worked as a mail carrier in WaKeeney and still lives on a farm west of WaKeeney.
Bob Mikulecky was named Hays postmaster late last fall but was quickly 
promoted to take over as the Manhattan postmaster.
