The Fort Hays State Lady Tigers used a 17-2 run late in the first half to build a 24-point lead and roll to a 91-66 win over Lincoln Friday night at Gross Coliseum. It moves the Lady Tigers to 20-6 overall and 12-6 in the MIAA, giving FHSU back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since moving to the MIAA. Lincoln drops to 11-15 and 6-12 in the conference.
The Lady Tigers lead by as many as 32 in the second half before Lincoln trimmed that down late in the game.
FHSU shoots 49-percent from the floor including 9-of-20 from three-point range and outrebound the Blue Tigers 45-29.
Kate Lehman led the way with her second straight double-double, scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots. Traci Keyser hit four 3’s and scored 14, Taylor Chandler tied a career-high with 12 and Melissa Nelson 10.
The Lady Tigers open MIAA tournament play with an opening round game Tuesday night at 7pm at Gross Coliseum.
