After 3 Weeks in Topeka, Boldra says “Just What I Hoped For.”
It’s Day 22 of the Kansas State Legislative session and 111th State Representative Sue Boldra told Hays Post this week that she is really enjoying her work in Topeka. “It is exciting and very busy and just exactly what I had hoped for.”
Boldra, a former teacher, is active on the Education, the Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee in addition to the Energy and Environment, and Utilities and Telecommunications committees. Among the bills that she’s sponsored during her first 3 weeks of work is HB 2199, the 2nd amendment protection act.
Boldra said she is happy to be back in Hays for Saturday’s “Eggs and Issues Legislative Forum” presented by the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce, 8:30a.m. in the Fort Hays State University Robbins Center.
Also on Saturday, Boldra along with 40th District Senator Ralph Ostmeyer, Grinnell; and 110th District Representative Travis Couture-Lovelady, Palco will also host town hall meetings at 11 a.m. in Victoria at the Former St. John’s Rest Home on 7th street and at 2 p.m. in Ellis in the city council chamber room.
