Two Great Bend Men Critically Injured In Accident After Fiesta Bowl

Two Great Bend men suffered serious injuries in an accident involving an intoxicated driver in Scottsdale, Arizona after the Fiesta Bowl.

21-year-olds Cody A. Clark and Michael D. Tysver, both Great Bend, were in a pedicab, a tricycle with a two-seat passenger compartment attached, that was traveling north on Scottsdale Road near Rose Lane in the median lane when a sedan struck it from behind at about 3 a.m., said David Pubins, a spokesman for the Scottsdale Police Department.  

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedicab is suspected of being impaired at the time of the accident. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, endangerment and aggravated assault.

The Great Bend men, who were in Scottsdale for the Fiesta Bowl game, were critically injured.

Clark suffered a head injury and Tysver suffered a spine injury.
