Rangeland Health Management Program – Jan. 7th Hays

Current drought in western Kansas is the most severe since the drought of the 1950’s. Have you thought about or developed a drought plan for your rangeland resources?

Come get some pointers from area ranchers , NRCS and K-State Range specialists. At the Rangeland Health Management program to be held at the Hays – Ag Research Center Auditorium on Monday, January 7th beginning at 11:00 a.m. and concluding at 3:00 p.m. with a free noon meal.

Topics covered will be stocking rates, drought management, research on overgrazed grasses in Kansas, rangeland chemical use, and a panel discussion by some area ranchers with plenty of time for your questions.

RSVP is requested by Wednesday, January 2nd at either the Russell, Ellis or Trego County Conservation District Offices for the Rangeland Health Management Program on January 7th.
