KFIX Rock News: Grateful Dead Asking Fans For Help With Signature Beer
In October, the Grateful Dead announced plans for a signature beer. No the band wants fans to help with it.
The beer, “American Beauty”, will be a strong pale ale with an as-yet-undetermined ingredient that the Dead is asking its followers to help choose.
The band and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery have started a campaign where fans can submit their suggestions for an ingredient that has an interesting story connecting it to the Dead, as well as a flavor that fits well with the beer.
To participate, fans must be at least 21 years old. Submissions will be taken until December 31st.
A panel of representatives from the Grateful Dead and Dogfish Head will choose the winning ingredient.
A winner is expected to be announced in the spring or early summer of 2013.
