The 30th edition of the Hays City Shootout received a touching moment between the Hays High girls’ and boys first round games on Thursday night. The tournament was renamed The Gerald Mitchell Hays City Shootout in memory of Gerald Mitchell who was one of the driving forces behind the start of the tournament.
