The Kansas Rural Center is coordinating the Nov. 16 event in Topeka. It aims to attract people who want to learn more about how Kansas health, agriculture and food environments intersect.
The event is called “Healthy Farms, Healthy People: Agriculture and the Health Care Summit.”
Sessions are planned on healthy eating behaviors, farming in Kansas, the role of food and farm policy and challenges in producing healthy food.
Other entities involved in the meeting include the Kansas Health Institute, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Kansas Farmers Union and others.
