Way Back Wednesday With Mix 103

    The small free neighborhood swimming pools: Sunrise near Roosevelt School, Massey on 17th and Allen and I don’t remember the name of the one on East 5th Street.

    “Dragging Main” in the 80′s and hanging out at the Varsity Bowl (a drive-in that used to be on south Main, north of Washington Grade School, now an apartment complex).

    i remember the big cheese pizza place. The original building where it started was in the sore loser tattoo parlor building. The other location that the big cheese pizza was at is where the matress america building is at

    I miss the old Varsity down on 4th and main…we use to walk past therein our way home from the old municipal swimming pool and get drinks and “garbage pail kids” trading cards!!
