KFIX Rock News: The Who Will Lip Synch At Olympics
LONDON (AP) – The Who will play the Olympics closing ceremony and they’re admitting it right now: they’re lip-synching.
Roger Daltrey says it’s not a rock show and they can’t do it live because the athletic events will be going on there.
Daltrey says they’ve recorded a “fabulous ending for the Olympics.”
Pete Townshend says it’s not quite a medley but a “carefully structured thematic piece.”
Daltrey says it’s not about The Who but about making great music for athletes who have devoted their lives to competing in the Olympics.
