KFIX Rock News: PBS Tracks Bob Dylan’s Guitar
NEW YORK (AP) – Where’s Bob Dylan’s guitar?
Dylan and PBS are squabbling over the electric guitar that Dylan plugged in at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
That’s not just any Fender Stratocaster. The “Dylan goes electric” guitar could be the most historic instrument in rock ‘n’ roll.
PBS’ “History Detectives” says a New Jersey woman has the guitar. Her late father was a pilot who flew Dylan around in the 1960s.
But Dylan’s lawyer says the singer still has it, although similar guitars were stolen from him around that time.
