KFIX Rock News: Paul McCartney Orchestra Piece To Premiere

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Paul McCartney isn’t known for classical music, but an orchestral piece he’s composed is having its North American premiere.

The music was created for his late wife, Linda. It’ll be performed at a charity event in Pittsburgh in September.

There’ll also be jazz performances of other McCartney tunes.

And, Bill Champlin, a 30-year member of Chicago, will perform a McCartney song. The event will benefit pediatric heart research.
