KFIX Rock News: Black Sabbath Bassist Comments On Drummer “Soap Opera”

LONDON (AP) – The Black Sabbath saga over their reunion continues, or as bass player Geezer Butler calls it, “a bit of a soap opera on the Internet.”

Butler writes on his web site he didn’t know drummer Bill Ward was having contractual problems in playing with the band again, and that’s something their representatives work out. Butler also says for one show, Ward’s representatives “wanted an amount that was so unrealistic that it seemed to have been a joke.”

Butler says he hopes to play with Ward again someday. Ward responds he did tell the rest of the band he was having contract problems and he asked for a decent but not extravagant fee.
