KFIX Rock News: Early U2 Photos On Display In Dublin
The earliest photos of U2 are going on display in Dublin.
Photographer Patrick Brocklebank took black-and-white photos of the band at their gigs in 1978 and 1979. Brocklebank says he liked other Dublin bands better but U2 stood out because they were organized. He says in the pub after a gig, Bono was such a personality everyone would hear Bono before they saw him.
Among the photos is the first known photo of the band with their manager, Paul McGuinness. The photos are on display at The Little Museum of Dublin.
Prints are for sale through the museum’s web site.
