Manhattan, KS – Will Spradling hit 4-of-5 three-pointers en route to a game-high 19 points, leading the Kansas State Wildcats to a 64-53 win over Texas A&M in a Big 12 bout at Bramlage Coliseum.
Angel Rodriguez scored 13 to help the Wildcats (16-6, 5-5 Big 12) snap a two- game slide.
Elston Turner tallied 18 points and Naji Hibbert finished with 14 for the Aggies (12-10, 3-7), who were coming off a narrow loss to sixth-ranked Baylor on Wednesday.
Texas A&M jumped out to a 10-point lead eight minutes into the game, but Kansas State weathered the storm and cut the deficit to 25-24 at the half.
The Wildcats continued that momentum into the second stanza, as they shot 54.5 percent from the floor and made 14-of-16 free throws over the final 20 minutes. K-State led by as many as 17 with just under seven minutes to play.
The Wildcats held a 31-23 rebounding advantage for the game and out-scored Texas A&M in the paint, 30-14. They also forced the Aggies into 19 turnovers.
