Manhattan, KS – Jon Hubert’s 26-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter lifted the 16th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats over Iowa State 30-23 at a rainy Bill Snyder Family Stadium Saturday afternoon. The opening kickoff was delayed for almost an hour and a half due to lightning.
Hubert carried the ball 15 times for 120 yards for the Wildcats (10-2, 7-2 Big 12), who can still clinch a three-way share of the Big 12 championship. Kansas State needs an Oklahoma upset of Oklahoma State later Saturday in order for that to happen.
Collin Klein completed 7-of-15 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 26 times for 86 yards and a score.
Jared Barnett connected on 15-of-27 passes for 153 yards, one touchdown and an interception for the Cyclones (6-6, 3-6 Big 12), who have lost two in a row.
Jeff Woody carried the ball 23 times for 85 yards and a two touchdowns, the second tying the game in the fourth quarter.
